As one of Facebook's preferred partners, UEFA asked us to help them visualize all the conversations taking place by fans and spectators around the world about the Champions League Final. And we had just the tool for them, AwesomeWall.
Huge screens were set up around the host city, Lisbon, with an accompanying sculpture outside the Estádio da Luz at the UEFA Festival of Champions. The live feed was a super customised AwesomeWall including real time content being shared by fans, visualisations of support for the two teams from around the world, live game and team line up information and even the weather.
Through this advanced AwesomeWall system, we were able to analyse over half a million posts to ascertain which team had the most online support at any given moment.
