The Hanwha Eagles are a South Korean professional baseball team competing in the KBO league. The Eagles' home ballpark is Daejeon Baseball Stadium.
This season, the marketing team wanted a new way to engage fans and get people talking about the team on social media.
So at their home stadium, the Hanwha Eagles now display AwesomeWall, with the help of JetArrow, at every ball game. Fans are encouraged to post their pics and messages of encouragement with #한화이글스 #hanwhaeagles and the buzz around the stadium when a supporter sees their post on the big screen is immense.
The team also use our social media feed to run the competition for the most valuable player of the match. The player with the most votes is awarded the title and one lucky fan who posted about that MVP on social media is randomly selected to meet their player on the pitch and the player reads out their post from the AwesomeWall. This is a great incentive to get fans posting about the game and the team. It's also an awesome way to reward loyal fans and let them feel empowered in choosing the MVP.
Hanwha Eagles use the smooth single post view to show each post clearly and stylishly on their screen at the match. They were able to use a simple AwesomeWall tool to manually proceed to a specific post to display it for the MVP winner. Using the SmartModeration system, it's really easy for the marketing team to monitor the posts appearing on the screen.
