Denplan is the UK's leading dental payment plan provider. They’ve been helping patients budget for their private dental care for nearly 30 years, and their member dentists now provide care to approximately 1.7 million patients. They are one of the UK’s leading providers of corporate dental plans, with more than 1,900 schemes covering over 190,000 employees.
To help Denplan engage with a larger audience and build affinity with more consumers, alerting them to the importance of loving their teeth and looking after their oral health, they commissioned a humorous TV advert playing on the social phenomenon of the selfie culture.
To support the advert and #doitforyourselfie campaign, Denplan used AwesomeWall to run a selfie competition and to display a gallery of entrants. Participants can upload their selfies via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or using AwesomeWall’s cloud upload to upload their selfies directly onto the site to enter the competition.
The dental payment plan provider sent promotional marketing packs to their dentist members so that each practice had posters and also a selfie stick to encourage them and patients to take a post-check-up selfie. This is an awesome way to run a campaign and a really fun idea to get people involved.
They then used the moderation system to approve all appropriate posts for the gallery and were then able, through the AwesomeWall system, to download all the entries to randomly pick a winner.
